Product reviews help customers make informed buying decisions, which in turn helps to reduce the overall number of product returns and complaints. Well next, dig into the customer product review policy as recently updated by Amazon. Customer reviews are an integral part of the customer shopping experience on Amazon. Customers use these reviews to learn more about their product, assess whether it fits their needs, and make an informed purchase decision.

Customer reviews also provide sellers with valuable insights about their products, which can include features or aspects of the product that customers like, what they don’t like, areas in need of improvement and ideas for new products or line extension products. In order for customer reviews to continue to provide these benefits to customers and sellers, they have to remain true and authentic.

They must be a reflection of customers experiences with their products. Amazon’s platform is built on the integrity of their review system, and Amazon has specific policies that are meant to protect the authenticity of customer review. As such, they have a zero tolerance policy towards any customer review violations.

If they detect any attempts to manipulate customer reviews, they take immediate action. Such actions might include immediate and permanent withdrawal of your selling privileges and withholding of funds, or removing all product reviews and preventing the product from receiving future reviews or ratings.

Or permanently removing the listing with the infraction, or they might even take legal action against you. That could include lawsuits and referrals to civil and criminal enforcement authorities. And lastly, they might even disclose your brand in other related information publicly to alert the buying community of your devious actions.

It is also important to note that Amazon will still take measures. Even if an infraction happened without your knowledge or consent. So it’s important to educate your business partners, employees, and any third-party partner you work with about these policies as well.
