Now, we’re looking at an example for a clothing store and specific shoes. This store is the first example of a store we’re on the home page. They don’t have any products besides the best-sellers section at the bottom. Instead they use the homepage strictly for categories with only one real lifestyle image.show more
You would think. This would take away from the home page, but they still managed to make a beautiful using just icons and text. This goes to show that on Amazon star France, there are really no rules. Yes, there are best practices and things to avoid, but as far as layout goes, your options are limitless.
Clark’s also nicely utilizes the header section, simply share their brand logo loud. As we change pages, the logo backdrop changes to match the hero image that is directly below the navigation bar. As we scroll down, we see a product grid that displays all their women’s shoes. The page closes off nicely with two well shot lifestyle images.
We are now going to go to the sandals page to show a new type of car. Right at the top of the page, you can see, they have incorporated an image carousel that shows off their summer sandal collection by displaying the photos all in a cohesive style, it creates an interesting effect that is sure to grab someone’s attention on the Lark and rose storefront.
They also similarly keep the homepage strictly for categories. No products. The images are all consistent. I look like they’re all taken from the same photo shoot at the top of the page as a content tab that we have not seen before. And the top left corner, we are seeing a textile notice the font and color.
These are parts of Amazon’s branding. And this specific tile is created using an Amazon text content tile, instead of uploading your own image with texts already on it. Yes. Using Amazon’s text content tiles are quicker as you don’t have to produce an image. But from this example, we can see that you do not have the flexibility of using an image and it shows.
The textile looks out of place on this page compared to the other lifestyle images, whenever you can. We recommend using images instead of textiles. So you have more control over your content.
