Amazon Seller Central Fulfillment by Merchant
Section 4: Fulfilling Merchant-Fulfilled Orders
Cheat Sheet
Fulfilling Merchant Fulfilled Orders via Email Notification
• You will be notified in two ways by Amazon that you have Merchant Fulfilled Orders to ship:
* Via an email to the email address you have down in your settings for Merchant Fulfilled Orders; and
* On the Home Page of your Seller Central Account.
• Let’s look at how to fulfil these orders directly from the email notification first.
• You will receive an email when an order has been placed for one of your Merchant Fulfilled items.
• Click the links at the bottom of the email to go to Seller Central and:
* Print the Packing Slip by clicking “Print Order Packing Slip” next to the order number at the top of the order page.
* Click the “Buy Shipping” button next to the order on the Order Detail Page to purchase and print shipping labels. Alternately, you can skip this optional step and manage your own shipping through your preferred carrier and print your own shipping labels.
• Once you have packed the order, you can then select the order on the Order Details page and click the “Confirm Shipment” button at the top of the Order Detail Page and enter shipping and tracking details.
• After you have confirmed the shipment, Amazon will charge the buyer, notify that the order has shipped and transfer the balance of the order payment to your Seller Central account after deducting their referral fee first.
Fulfilling Merchant Fulfilled Orders via Seller Central
• What if you would prefer to simply ship your Merchant Fulfilled Orders via your Seller Central Account instead, especially as the links in the email take you here anyway.
• Well, let’s follow the process for fulfilling your Merchant Fulfilled Orders on your Seller Central portal.
• As mentioned, you will be notified of any unshipped orders on the Home Page of your Seller Central Account in the Top Left-Hand side of the page.
• Select “Manage Orders” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Orders” tab on the top Menu of Seller Central.
• Under the “Unshipped” tab, you will be able to action the following:
* Print the Packing Slip by clicking “Print Order Packing Slip” next to the order number at the top of the order page.
* Click the “Buy Shipping” button next to the order on the Order Detail Page to purchase and print shipping labels. Alternately, you can skip this optional step and manage your own shipping through your preferred carrier and print your own shipping labels.
• Once you have packed the order, you can then select the order on the Order Details page and click the “Confirm Shipment” button at the top of the Order Detail Page and enter shipping and tracking details.
• After you have confirmed the shipment, Amazon will charge the buyer, notify that the order has shipped and transfer the order payment to your Seller Central account.
Updating Tracking for your Merchant Fulfilled Orders via Seller Central
• Let’s say for the sake of this video that you chose not to buy Shipping from Amazon and decided to use your own carrier or courier to deliver the product to the customer, you would need to update some tracking information for your order then, right?
• This process will only apply for orders where you ship using a third-party shipping company, or your own courier, without purchasing shipping from Amazon.
• Select “Manage Orders” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Orders” tab on the top Menu of Seller Central.
• Search for the Order ID you want to update the tracking information on.
• Click on “Edit Shipment”.
• Select the Ship Date, Carrier, Shipping Service and enter the Tracking ID.
• Click the “Confirm Shipment” button.
